Company ProfileMayell Architect Ltd was established in Alberta in early 1979 by J. F. (Jake) Mayell, Jr. following his previous four years as one of the principals of Long, Mayell & Associates and nine years experience with the firms J.W. Long & Associates and McMillan, Long & Associates as a design architect . In 1994, the firm of J. F. Mayell Architect was also established in British Columbia to operate in conjunction with the Albertan firm. Mayell Architect Ltd/ J.F. Mayell Architect has for many years developed a broad range of expertise in the realms of architecture, planning and interior development. Previous projects have spanned a wide variety of building types while specifically emphasizing energy management, environmental conservation and harmonizing the relationship of human scale to the built environment. This expertise has been developed by maintaining a small and highly organized core group of creative and specialized talent and the occasional broadening of the core group with additional professionals when required to enhance the firm's capacity for project with specific needs. The firm has been responsible for the development of many Rocky Mountain region hospitality, recreational and commercial facilities for clients from the public and private sectors. Mayell Architect maintains a high level of expertise in using computer systems to facilitate the design, production and contract administration activities of the firm. The design process is backed with the use of 2D and 3D design tools on the latest Computer Assisted Design and Drafting (CADD) systems. All contract documents are executed on computers and because of the internet, can be reviewed anywhere around the world instantaneously. Graphic and non-graphic material are also transmittable. |
