Temple Day Lodge
Lake Louise, Alberta (c.1978)

A ski lodge developed to accomodate skiers after the original log structure burned. The new kept the same strong rustic style using heavy timber frame with rough wood infill panels (both exterior and interior faces).

The steeply roofed structure nestles in the high alpine valley overlooking the lower river valley and the mountain peaks surrounding Lake Louise.

The interior spaces are open with all the structure exposed. Windows and dormers punched into the high ceiling spaces open elevated views to the tops of the surrounding slopes and peaks.
