U of A Agriculture & Forestry Centre circulation concept diagram

The basic design concept provides a facility that does justice for a place that is "home" to the Agriculture Community of the campus and yet will act as an efficient machine to facilitate both the present and future teaching research and learning process.

The facility is a $14,000,000.00 teaching, research and office complex that demands specific environmental and energy conservation requirements.

All areas of activity are fully accessible by the central greenhouse well and ramp. Each activity is opened for public view by overlooking windows, bridges and stairwells. The building is set into the slope with long, low sloping roofs and a large overhang to scale the two storey facility down and merge it with the low scale surrounding. A terrace garden steps up to the second level allowing all sides access at grade.
